INFILL HOUSING:
A VOLUMETRIC STUDY
Develop a conceptual dwelling and workspace for
two artists, artisans, or creative entrepreneurs of your
choice within a volume of 60,000 cubic feet.
You should craft a program and write a narrative that is specific to the kind of inhabitants you are envisioning in the space (ie.,sculptor, musician, painter, weaver, chef, writer, architect, photographer, etc.).
Each dwelling must include:
1. Living Spaces, including areas for privacy and resting, as well as areas for socializing and
entertaining
2. Creative Work Space
3. Areas for Displaying Work
In addition, you should carefully consider the proportion of rooms in relation to the scale of a person and the proposed activity within that space, access to natural light and views, exterior green spaces, and interior surfaces and materials.
The life of the individuals imagined should be embodied in the character of your drawings and models.
